The person behind the guides
Gamcheon Culture Village — Busan
Okinawa, Japan
I grew up in Boston and moved to San Diego in 2020 looking for a change of scenery. Best decision I've made. Out there I met my wife, who had already been living in San Diego for close to a decade but is originally from Atlanta. So between the two of us we've got the Northeast, most of the South, and pretty much all of San Diego County covered including the spots that don't show up in any travel guide.
I've done over a dozen road trips in the last decade. Not the "drive to a resort and sit by a pool" kind. The kind where you map out a route, find the best taco truck between Tucson and El Paso, stumble onto a campsite that doesn't show up in any app, and accidentally have the best meal of your life at a place with three Google reviews. That's the stuff I'm good at.
My wife and I honeymooned through Japan and South Korea for three weeks. Eight cities, too much ramen, one very crowded fish market in Busan, and the floating torii gate at Miyajima that we almost missed because I thought we had more time. We didn't. We ran. Worth it.
We also recently got a Berniedoodle named Banks. He's been to the mountains, Vegas, and Malibu. He has strong opinions about rest stops.
The reason PostMark exists is simple: friends kept asking me where to eat in Tokyo and I kept spending two hours sending them voice memos. At some point it made more sense to just offer it properly. Everything I send you is researched the same way I'd research it for myself.
